One of the most profound teachings I received came from a beloved late master who once said, “The most precious gift is the gift of living in the physical body.” At that time, I found myself puzzled. How could a spiritual teacher, so deeply rooted in the realms beyond, celebrate the physical form with such reverence?
Years later, with a deeper awareness, I understand. It’s not the body itself—but the gift of action that the body allows. This temporary yet sacred opportunity to walk, speak, feel, create, and love… to leave a legacy. The physical realm is a stage where our spirit plays, learns, and grows.
Our destination is always to return home—a place of warmth, innocence, love, and support. For some, this is their real childhood experience. But for many, home was filled with chaos, fear, and unkind words. When asked, “What would you change about your childhood?” the answer is often, “I would erase the pain and make joyful memories instead.”
We cannot change the past, but we can choose to heal, rebuild, and re-create our inner home. We can learn to live in this body, in this world, as spiritual beings with clarity, purpose, and peace.
